पूरे भारत में 1 जुलाई को चिकित्सक और पश्चिम बंगाल के दूसरे मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. बिधान चंद्र रॉय की याद में राष्ट्रीय डॉक्टर दिवस मनाया जाता है। उनका जन्म 1 जुलाई 1882 को हुआ था और उसी दिन 1962 में उनकी मृत्यु हो गई।
