SBI CBO Recruitment 2023: Exam Dates, Exam Pattern, Cut-offs, Salary etc.
Recently, State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a total of 5447 vacancies for the post of SBI CBO. The official notification for the recruitment of Circle Based Officers (CBO) across the country was released on NOV 21,2023. The selection process will include an Online Test and Interview round.

SBI CBO Exam Pattern 2023:-
The recruitment process for SBI CBO 2023 shall consist of an Online Written Test & an Interview round as explained below:
Online Written Test
a. Objective Test:

Note:There will be No Negative Marking for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests.
b. Descriptive Test:
The total duration of Descriptive Test will be of 30 minutes. This test shall include a Test of English Language having 2 questions (Letter Writing & Essay) for 50 marks.
The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in Online Written Test. There will be no sectional qualifying marks.
Note:The Descriptive Test will be conducted on the same day after the completion of the Objective Test in online mode only.
The Interview round will be of 50 marks total. A minimum qualifying mark (as decided by the bank) will be required to be scored by the candidate in the interview so as to be considered for final merit list.
The candidates need to qualify separately in both 'Online Written Test' and 'Interview'. The marks obtained in Online written Test shall be included along with the marks obtained in Interview round for preparing the final merit list. The final merit list shall be prepared according to the normalization method having 75:25 weightage respectively. The Marks scored by the candidate in the 'Online Written Exam' (out of 170 marks) will be converted to (out of 75 marks) and Interview scores of candidates (out of 50 marks) are converted to (out of 25 marks). Hence, the final merit list will be prepared after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Online Written test and Interview (State wise and category wise).

Step 1: Open the official website of SBI careers
Step 2: Now locate the link in the name "SBI Recruitment of Circle Based Officer" and open it by clicking on it.
Step 3: Click for "Apply Online" tab, then click on the NEW REGISTRATION button available on the top right corner.
Step 4: Provide the necessary details such as your name, contact number, email address etc.
Step 5: After successful registration, Login again with the new registration ID and password received on your mail id & phone & complete the remaining portion of application form such as academic details, professional qualification, experience etc.
Step 6: Then as per the prescribed format of SBI, upload your passport size photograph and signature.
Step 7: Finally, click on ‘Preview’ to cross check your application form and make the payment of the required application fee as the available modes.
Step 8: After that submit your application by clicking on ‘Submit’ Button & take printout of a few copies for future reference.
The Application Fee for SBI CBO 2023 is Rs. 750/- for General Category Candidates. However, SC/ST/PWD category candidates do not require to pay any application fees.

- • The above vacancies are provisional and may vary depending on the Bank’s actual requirement.
- • The candidate will have to apply for vacancy of one Circle only. A candidate applying against vacancy of one Circle will not be eligible to apply against vacancy of any other Circle. • Candidature of the applicant will be considered only against the vacancies in the Circle for which he/ she has applied/ opted. Merit list will be drawn Circle wise and category wise. • Selected candidates will be posted in the Circle against whose vacancy they are selected.
- • The selected candidates will not be entitled for Inter-Circle transfer/ Corporate Centre Posting/ Corporate Centre Establishment Posting/ Foreign Posting up to his/ her promotion to SMGS-IV Grade OR 12 years of service, whichever is later. d&e – The PwBD categories under clause
- “d&e” of Section 34 (i) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act (RPWD Act 2016) suitable for the post are autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness and multiple disabilities amongst VI, HI & LD.
- • The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular Circle, should be proficient (reading, writing and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that Circle (mentioned against each Circle) to be opted by the candidate at the time of registration of application. The test of knowledge of specified opted local language of the applied circle will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted for provisionally selected candidates (based on performance in online test, screening and interview) before joining the Bank. Candidate who fails to qualify this test will not be offered appointment. Candidates who produce 10 th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language of the applied Circle as one of the subjects will not be required to undergo the language test.
a. English Language -- Synonym and Antonym, fill in the blanks, Reading Comprehension, Error Detection, Cloze Test, Sentence Improvement, Para Jumbles, Para/Sentence Completion, Verbal Ability, Grammar etc
b. General Awareness/Economy -- Country and Capitals, Static GK, Current Affairs, Airport and Ports in India, Indian Constitution, Culture of India, Tallest and biggest in India and the world, Currency of countries, Geography, History, Government Schemes, National and International Holidays, General Science, Sports, Awards and Honours, Economics, Indian Financial System, Indian Economy, Bank Headquarters, Slogans of Banks, Regulatory Bodies in India
c. Banking KnowledgeIn this section, questions related to Banking Awareness such as Functions of RBI, Bank Terminologies, Indian Banking System, etc. would be asked.
d. Computer AptitudeComputer Abbreviations, Input and Output, Keyboard Shortcuts, Hardware and Software, Operating System, Microsoft Office, Networking, Computer Terminologies, Internet etc.
Salary & Job Profile:
The pay scale of SBI CBO employee lies under INR 36000-1490/7, INR-46430-1740/2, INR 49910-1990/7, INR.63840.
The Basic Pay of the candidates selected as SBI CBO would be Rs. 36,000 & the Total Salary Per Annum would be around INR 4,32,000/- INR 12,0000/-

Not below 21 years and Not above 30 years as on 31.10.2023 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 31.10.2002 and not earlier than 01.11.1993 (both days inclusive)

The applicants must be having a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised college/University or any equivalent qualification as recognised by the Central Government.
HOW TO APPLY:
- Candidates can apply online only from 22.11.2023 to 12.12.2023. No other mode of application will be accepted.
- Pre-requisites for Applying Online: Candidates should have valid email ID and mobile no. which should be kept active till the declaration of final results. It will be essentially required for receiving any communication/ call letters/ advices from the bank by email/ SMS.
